Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) is expanding the reach of its liquid propane gas kits by signing a non-exclusive distribution agreement with CleanFUEL USA who will market and sell the EPA certified kits for converting GM and Ford vehicles to run on the liquid propane.

Last week, Lazard Capital and Collins Stewart upgraded and maintained their Buy ratings on Yingli Green Energy (YGE).  Today, it’s Piper Jaffray’s turn.  The firm reiterates its Buy rating on Yingli and is raising the price target from $13 to $17.

Yingli Green Energy (YGE) is announcing a collaboration with the Energy Research Centre of Netherlands and Amtech Systems (ASYS) to develop and implement high efficiency N type silicon solar cells, named PANDA.  The solar cells will use Netherland’s designs, the solar diffusion technology and dry PSG removal expertise of Amtech and Yingli’s production line and cell process technology.

The theme that we’ve seen for several months now continues for the most part.. solar company reports steep loss and plunging revenues, but the stock holds up or even rises as is the case with China Sunergy (CSUN) today.  The company reported a steeper than expected loss of .33/share (vs expectations of a .26) on revenues of just $37 million which is a more than 50% plunge from the year ago quarter.  However, traders are likely focusing on the more optimistic future as CSUN works through their higher priced inventory.  The CEO commented:
