| Job Description | Suniva, Inc. is presently building a Solar Cell manufacturing factory in the Atlanta Georgia metropolitan area. The factory will be a 24x7 facility producing 50 MW per year of Solar Cells by mid-2009. Responsibilities: 1. Proactively develop and maintain the Quality Procedures for a Solar Cell manufacturing start-up. 2. Spend a minimum of 75% of time on the Production floor, interacting with Production personnel and maintain a desk on the Production floor. 3. Develop and maintain an active relationship with customers to assure they are meeting such customer needs and to assure our products achieve and maintain a World Class level of quality. This includes proactive regular calls and in person meetings with customers. 4. Continuously work with packaging suppliers and customers to reduce damage and breakage in shipments to our customers. 5. Develop and implement with the plant manager, an internal audit program to assure continuous improvement of the Quality Process. 6. Support external quality audits as required 7. Identify and hire staff to support the Quality Assurance function 8. Work with Manufacturing Operations and Engineering to achieve quality and output objectives 9. Support a program of continuous improvement consistent with company business objectives 10. Learn and stay current on industry best practices, competitor quality programs to insure Suniva stays ahead of the market in our quality practices. 11. Work with R&D and Engineering to support the evaluation and implementation of new technology 12. Provide training as required to line personnel. 13. Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings. 14. Other duties as assigned |
| Qualifications | Required Experience:
1. 4-year degree 2. Direct experience in the development of Quality Assurance procedures and Customer Relations. 3. Experience with implementing or sustaining an Quality program consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent Preferred Experience: 4. Experience with advanced statistics, statistical process control and design of experiments methods is desirable 5. Experience in Photovoltaics or other Semiconductor manufacturing is desirable 6. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is desirable. |
