- Donate old shoes to companies like Global Treads, a non-profit organization providing shoes for men, women and children locally and worldwide. Through generous donations of new and lightly used shoes, Global Treads is able to provide footwear to individuals in impoverished areas.
- Global Treads stemmed when founder (and avid runner) Julie Davis noticed an abundance of used shoes, still in great condition that were no longer being used in her closet. Take a peek inside your closet to see if you might have an extra pair (or two) of shoes that you haven't worn in a while to donate.
- Take it a step further and rally your local school, mission or church together for a shoe drive. Your generosity will help put shoes on people where owning a pair is considered a luxury.
